Our Hailstone Jersey herd started with a 3 week old calf given to us as a wedding present in 2003 from Thomas Savage & Sheila and Brian Fleming (Shellen Jerseys).

We now have five Jerseys, and have enjoyed considerable success this year with Hailstone Sultan Winsome VG87-2yrs
- She is sired by Sultan
- 4th generation VG or EX

Hailstone Sultan Winsome

- 1st Any other dairy breed Heifer in Milk at Northumberland County Show 2009.
- 1st Jersey Heifer in Milk Great Yorkshire Show 2009

Her son is for sale -Hailstone Walkabout
He is a February 2009 Forest Glen Avery Action son

The dam of Sultan Winsome and our wedding present is
Shellen Progress Winsome 2 EX91-2E
- sired by Lester Sambo son, Dalena Progress
- 3rd generation VG or EX

- 4th lactation 6480kg at 6% fat and 3.75% protein
- Just fresh in October 2009 with her 5th calf
- Bred three daughters so far Sultan Winsome VG87-2yrs, November 2008 Action daughter Hailstone Action Winsome and a October 2009 daughter Hailstone Excitation Winsome by Bridon Excitation

We may only have one Jersey family at the moment- The Winsome's but it's a good one!
